This page is sponsored by Resolution Peace News from California: The Alameda County Democratic Central Committee has passed a resolution endorsing the "Responsible Plan to End the War in Iraq" and is now asking all other DCCs in California to endorse it as well. You can read the Alameda Resolution here. The Responsible Plan was developed by Congressional candidate Darcy Burner (state of Washington), retired military leaders, and national security experts. Recognizing that the war has been a major disaster for our nation and for the world, the Responsible Plan campaign aims to sweep progressive Democrats into Congress in the fall and end the Iraq war in a responsible way. Because the Responsible Plan addresses also the underlying conditions that have enabled the war, implementation will help prevent future military interventions, in Iran for notable example. You can read an executive summary of the Plan or download the full text at Responsible Plan Text. An excellent summary of the historical origins, aims, and endorsers of the Plan is available at Wikpedia Entry on the Responsible Plan. Visit www.responsibleplan.com to personally endorse the Plan. Over 50 Democratic candidates for the House and Senate have already endorsed the Responsible Plan. They are listed at: Responsible Plan Endorsers. We are now seeking endorsements as well from Democratic clubs, Democratic county committees, other regional Democratic Party organizations, and from labor and peace organizations. To help us obtain these endorsements, please Contact Us. Here is a Responsible Plan Resolution that you can ask your Democratic club to pass: Endorsement Resolution. We ask that Dem. clubs, county committees, and other organizations request their local Congressional candidates to endorse the Responsible Plan too. In this way we can build an effective nationwide grassroots campaign that ends the war in Iraq and prevents a war against Iran! The "Responsible Plan" will
